How To Draw Alphabet "G" In Stencil Style - Pencil Sketch Step By Step Process For Kids - Slate Kids
Learn about 'G' - G is the 7th letter in the ISO basic Latin alphabet.

The letter 'G' was introduced in the Old Latin period as a variant of 'C' to distinguish voiced /ɡ/ from voiceless /k/. The recorded originator of 'G' is freedman Spurius Carvilius Ruga, the first Roman to open a fee-paying school, who taught around 230 BC. At this time, 'K' had fallen out of favor, and 'C', which had formerly represented both /ɡ/ and /k/ before open vowels, had come to express /k/ in all environments.
Ruga's positioning of 'G' shows that alphabetic order related to the letters' values as Greek numerals was a concern even in the 3rd century BC. According to some records, the original seventh letter, 'Z', had been purged from the Latin alphabet somewhat earlier in the 3rd century BC by the Roman censor Appius Claudius, who found it distasteful and foreign. Sampson (1985) suggests that: "Evidently the order of the alphabet was felt to be such a concrete thing that a new letter could be added in the middle only if a 'space' was created by the dropping of an old letter."
George Hempl (1899) proposes that there never was such a "space" in the alphabet and that in fact 'G' was a direct descendant of zeta. Zeta took shapes like ⊏ in some of the Old Italic scripts; the development of the monumental form 'G' from this shape would be exactly parallel to the development of 'C' from gamma. He suggests that the pronunciation /k/ - /ɡ/ was due to contamination from the also similar-looking 'K'.
Eventually, both velar consonants /k/ and /ɡ/ developed palatalized allophones before front vowels; consequently in today's Romance languages, c and g have different sound values depending on context (known as hard and soft C and hard and soft G). Because of French influence, English orthography shares this feature.

"Humpty Dumpty Nursery Rhyme" - 2D Animation Nursery Rhymes for children
"Humpty Dumpty" Nursery Rhyme Lyrics :
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
All the king's horses and all the king's men
One Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
Couldn't put Humpty together again
Humpty Dumpty is a character in an English nursery rhyme, probably originally a riddle and one of the best known in the English-speaking world. He is typically portrayed as a personified egg, though he is not explicitly described so. The first recorded versions of the rhyme date from late eighteenth-century England and the tune from 1870 in James William Elliott's National Nursery Rhymes and Nursery Songs. Its origins are obscure and several theories have been advanced to suggest original meanings.
Cute Song 'Humptee Dumptee sat on a wall' sung by small kids...
The character of Humpty Dumpty was popularised in the United States by actor George L. Fox (1825–77). As a character and literary allusion, he has appeared or been referred to in a large number of works of literature and popular culture, particularly Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass (1872). The rhyme is listed in the Roud Folk Song Index as No. 13026.
Lyrics and melody
The rhyme is one of the best known and most popular in the English language. The most common modern text is:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.
It is a single quatrain with external rhymes that follow the pattern of AABB and with a trochaic metre, which is common in nursery rhymes. The melody commonly associated with the rhyme was first recorded by composer and nursery rhyme collector James William Elliott in his National Nursery Rhymes and Nursery Songs (London, 1870). The Roud Folk Song Index catalogues folk songs and their variations by number, and classifies this song as 13026.
The earliest known version was published in Samuel Arnold's Juvenile Amusements in 1797 with the lyrics:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
Four-score Men and Four-score more,
Could not make Humpty Dumpty where he was before.
Meaning
Professor David Daube suggested in The Oxford Magazine of 16 February 1956 that Humpty Dumpty was a "tortoise" siege engine, an armoured frame, used unsuccessfully to approach the walls of the Parliamentary held city of Gloucester in 1643 during the Siege of Gloucester in the English Civil War. This was on the basis of a contemporary account of the attack, but without evidence that the rhyme was connected. The theory was part of an anonymous series of articles on the origin of nursery rhymes and was widely acclaimed in academia, but it was derided by others as "ingenuity for ingenuity's sake" and declared to be a spoof. The link was nevertheless popularised by a children's opera All the King's Men by Richard Rodney Bennett, first performed in 1969.
The rhyme does not explicitly state that the subject is an egg, possibly because it may have been originally posed as a riddle. There are also various theories of an original "Humpty Dumpty". One, advanced by Katherine Elwes Thomas in 1930 and adopted by Robert Ripley, posits that Humpty Dumpty is King Richard III of England, depicted as humpbacked in Tudor histories and particularly in Shakespeare's play, and who was defeated, despite his armies, at Bosworth Field in 1485.

Panchatantra 'Lion and The Brainless Donkey' in English Story.
The Panchatantra is an ancient Indian collection of interrelated animal fables in verse and prose, arranged within a frame story. The original Sanskrit work, which some scholars believe was composed around the 3rd century BCE, is attributed to Vishnu Sharma. It is based on older oral traditions, including "animal fables that are as old as we are able to imagine".
The Panchatantra is a series of inter-woven fables, many of which involve animals exhibiting animal stereotypes. According to its own narrative, it illustrates, for the benefit of three ignorant princes, the central Hindu principles of nīti. While nīti is hard to translate, it roughly means prudent worldly conduct, or "the wise conduct of life".
Lion and The Brainless Donkey
A lion, the King of the forest he lived in, had appointed a fox as his minister. Everyday, the lion hunted and killed an animal for his food. The fox helped him in this. As a reward the fox got a share of the kill for serving his master.
The lion, one day hurt his foot whilst jumping off from a rock. He was unable to go out for hunting and had to rest so that his foot could heal.
He called the fox to him and said, "Today I cannot go out to hunt. I am, however, very hungry. Go and lure any suitable animal here so that t can kill it and eat."
The fox said to himself, " No animal will come to the lion willingly. What should I do now? If I am not able to bring anyone to the lion, he will surely use me for a meal." He kept on pondering on his problem when at last an idea struck him, well he thought, " The donkey is a stupid animal. I will try to fool him and bring him to the lion."
He went trotting along to the donkey and said, " Good day Mr. Donkey. I have been looking for you all over as I have some good news for you. The lion, The King of this forest, has decided to make you his secretary. He has asked me to take you to him."
The donkey was very pleased to hear this. So he went with the fox to the lion's den. The hungry lion sprang upon the donkey and killed him and then said to the fox, I will limp along you he river for a drink, as I have an injured foot, this may take me longer than usual. You sit here and take care that no one touches this kill."
The lion went limping away to the river. The fox waited and waited and at last and being hungry himself, he hurriedly ate the brain of the donkey. The lion had crushed the donkey's head.
The lion cane back after some time and was about to start his meal with the donkey's brain an apéritif. Finding nothing inside the donkey's crushed head; he asked the fox, "What happened? Where is the brain of this donkey?"
The fox smiled and raising his hands said, " Sir, if the donkey had brains, he would not have come here to be killed by you It is known that donkey's are brainless animals."
